Racist fearmongering designed to pit Americans against immigrants has resulted in the threat of mass deportations, and some of these deportation actions are already being carried out. Unfortunately, supporters of Trump – who campaigned heavily on the promise of lowering prices –  are already finding out that actions like placing tariffs on our most important trade partners and deporting immigrant workers are almost certain to raise prices of foods and goods in the U.S., and may in fact affect the food supply altogether.
